The question is how can YOU stop it?
Is it even possible to stop In the middle of YOUR sugar binge?
The answer is yes, YOU CAN!
You need to both massively intimidate the pattern that you’ve fallen into and then follow it up with some positive affirmative action!!.
The best and easiest way is to have first built up some recovery secrets that really work. Recovery strategy is best described as actions, habits, and retroactive structures that you worked on before you needed them. You have them in reserve to call on.
The number one best way to stop a binge is to be able to feel comfortable picking up the phone and calling fellow binger that truly understands. To courageous enough to just say: “I need some help – can you talk for a minute?”
For the folks who are just getting started, we need a more drastic and dramatic strategic action!
The one that works the best for the lovely people needing some help I’ve worked with is a hot bath with 3 cups of Epsom magnesium salts.
No matter what time of the day or night.
Just stop what you’re doing and walk to the bathroom and turn on the water and throw in the salt crystals!!
Don’t think about it just do it.
Once you feel the soft magnesium water on your hands, testing the temperature, you’ll be 90% of the way there.
Once you’re in just relax, take a deep breath and reflect on what just happened. What you’ve done is the beginning of interrupting the binge pattern permanently. You’re not done yet.
If you got even a tiny bit of sugar in your body you may be at risk for cravings and another binge.
The follow-up steps.
- Plan and eat high protein and good fat meals asap and/or the next day.
- Forgive yourself and know that tomorrow is a new day, a new dawn and a new way of living!
- Actually thank yourself out loud for your incredible ability to divert the Binge as well as excellent self-awareness and definitive actions.
- If it’s not at night, as a lot of binges are, then just a high good fat meal… or take a tablespoon of coconut oil in a cup of hot raw cacao and go on with your day but make sure you plan to eat a protein and salad meal for dinner.
